Make a list of relevant junior positions

When you have the basic skills to get the job that you are hoping to get, you will have to accept that if you are fortunate enough to land the job that you are hoping for, you will probably be hired as a junior if you are fortunate enough to land it.My personal opinion is that if you get a job in high tech that is too big for your skills, it may cause dissatisfaction in the expectations of you and your employer, about what you will be able to deliver, and I personally believe it is the best kind of way to start your career.
LinkedIn is definitely the leading platform for targeting specific jobs, for example, by the job you search, location of the company work type, like remote/hybrid/on-site or even a company size (by employees) you wish to work, an Enterprise or a small startup. Working in an Enterprise has benefits, for example there is more chance to move between different positions or even different departments.

Refresh your CV and expand your Network

Refresh your CV, get recommendations from previous jobs, update your LinkedIn profile, picture, and description, and try to expand your network. If you purchase a premium package, you will be able to send a lot more connection requests.

Don’t forget to always search on LinkedIn for a mutual friend with the recruiter or someone at the HR department or other departments of the company you want to apply to.
Ask for an introduction or apply through a mutual friend. It’s always better to submit your CV via someone and even better from someone you know and recommend to you. There are tons of CV’s in the HR department, don’t be surprised! People love to make introductions, and you won’t lose anything by contacting them.

Alternative Routes to a High Tech Career

There is another option of getting your first job in a high-tech company, but it may take a bit longer to get a job there. You may want to gain 2-3 years of experience in a particular position and then look for a job in a high-tech company that requires the same type of skills. For instance, you can move from one industry to another, and your experience in a specific position can sometimes be just as important as your experience in high tech companies. You can also consider getting an internship in a tech company to gain some experience. This would give you the opportunity to show your skills and network in the industry. Additionally, joining a professional organization related to the industry can also help you find a job in a tech company.
